Climate Change

Global warming could see the temperature rising significantly across the world and whilst this may not immediately seem a problem this temperature rise will have some serious consequences. Melting of the polar ice caps caused by this climate change could result in the sea levels rising with potentially disastrous consequences. Rising temperatures could also see increased instances in famine and drought in already deprived third world nations.

Because of the serious problems that climate change presents to us most of the worlds governments are taking steps to try and reduce the impact. A great deal of money has been invested into researching renewable energy sources as the emissions from burning fossil fuels to supply us with most of our energy is one of the main reasons that we are currently facing such serious environmental consequences from climate change.

It is possible for individuals to take steps to help combat the impact and severity of climate change. Many more households are making extra effort to recycle their waste rather than just throw it away. Many more people are also making use of public transport and reducing the number of unnecessary journeys they take in their cars to help do their bit to prevent climate change.
